Mostly to vent, but wonder if anyone else has had to deal with this…my team consists of a partner, shareholder, 3 associates, myself and a legal assistant. We have a busy docket, 70 active litigation files. For over a year I have been dealing with inexperienced legal assistants, mostly coming from other areas of law. The partner relies heavily on me to clean up the messes, fix the mistakes, etc., and HR is on me for doing too much admin, i.e., non-billable work.

Recently attended an interview from one of the top IT firms . I'd never seen any such worst process in any of my life .
Since I'd attended an interview long back i was surprised to receive this call and HR informed me that I'll be having a HR round and the day comes i joined the call ( literally they didn't even ask a single HR question and it was completely about TR) when I reached out to HR . I was told this was a TR + MR
Whose mistake is this ? wasn't their job to inform us properly about?

How many times has an interviewer no-showed and the recruiter profusely apologizing on their behalf?
Happened to me with Mindtree recruiter, for an IoT leadership position where the interviewing VP chose to no show twice… after which I thanked the recruiter that I was impressed by their book of busi-ness and that it was intimidating to be thinking about the prospect of working for Mindtree… as I’m too incapable for those performance standards… 😂😂

My position in sales, growing existing accounts with my company, is being eliminated in October. I either take a bit of a pay cut to do something really similar but more stable on the service side, or move to new business (which is not attractive to me), or I find something new. Is it fair they are having me interview just to basically keep my position after 7 years of doing it successfully meeting targets? Or is it time for me to look elsewhere?

Need advice & perspectives: I got a verbal review from my manager saying he couldn’t see me as senior cuz I didn’t follow the design doc format he mandates from all designers. While I have been the only designer who does almost everything from design, UI asset creation, wiring up UI in Unity (I am in mobile gaming).
Also the product I’m on has been in MVP stage, things move extremely fast and design decisions changed constantly. He’s not on my team.
Am I crazy for thinking him a bad manager?

My current job role is Digital marketing Specialist with 3.6LPA. Im trying to shift my field of work into AWS cloud for which I have been preparing to crack AWS cloud Practitioner, followed by AWS Solutions Architect Exam.

Yesterday was a good day. I was really impressed with myself. I woke up at 5, practiced dance lessons, did two water colors, made breakfast and tea, got to work by 10, put in 8-10 hours of solid work and then came home. It’s been ages since I painted or danced.
However today, I slept till 7:00, did not work out or have food. Still got to work by 10 and did 8 solid hours of work.
Some days are good and some are just okay. And that is okay. Trying to build on my good days and we all can. :)

I really dislike what I do for a living. I know I will be changing jobs soon but it’ll still be in the same industry. I feel extremely hopeless when I begin to worry that I will be doing this for the next 30 years...I get nervous just thinking about wasting my life like this.

I recently started using virtual therapy via betterhelp. How do you all know if therapy sessions are effective or not?

Why am I scared and embarrassed to show affection towards my family, despite wanting to?

For example, sometimes I just want to hug my mom (I just graduated and still live at home) or even just say I Love You, but I Can't!

I have a really good relationship with my family so I don't understand why I can't just muster the courage to show affection?

I don't have any issues with showing affection to my SO...

Anyone have any ideas? Do I need a therapist?

I accidentally overshared information about having anxiety and trouble focusing with someone who is kind of important at the company and now I regret it. She never responded and probably forgot about it but my husband told me that I shouldn’t have done that and I shouldn’t share things like that with people at work unless you are really close with them and now I’m freaking out and crying because I’m scared she will remember that and tell my boss or other higher up people.

How do we make room for ourselves to heal and center ourselves while having to keep up at work none stop?

I feel paralyzed with my anxiety, so much so that I can’t work.

I think my partner is making my eating disorder worse. It seems like he is very conscious of weight or at least looks, and I feel like he often tries to deter me from eating (like if I mention a late lunch he'll reply that we're having dinner soon so to hold off). I'm not sure if he is even aware of it, but he knows about my issues so it makes me wonder. My ED also runs rampant so it could be all in my head. Does anyone have experience dealing with this? I want to say something but not sure how.
