I’ve gone to a therapist 3 times now, and I am unsure if this is the right therapist for me. I’m not sure how therapy is supposed to work as this is my first time, but it feels like she never really has much of an agenda to work through with me and I kind of run the appointment. I don’t mind doing a lot of talking but it almost feels like I’m just paying a lot of money to vent to someone, as she really just listens rather than giving me helpful advice or doing exercises with me. Is this normal?
