[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

I’m currently in the process with my wife. We’ve been trying for 7 months. A few failed IUIs and now 2 failed IVFs. It’s definitely a journey, mentally!
Try seeing if your employer will help. Mine uses https://progyny.com/ and I’ve had a previous employer use https://www.get-carrot.com/
Also, your insurance company may have an infertility hotline that you can call. I have Aetna and they were able to provide me with some resources that helped offset the costs. It’s definitely expensive though, good luck!
I went through years of IVF. My advice would be to be as aggressive as you can afford. We wasted time (8 years) and money ($125,000), trying Clomid, IUI, and every other low level treatment. In the end, we discovered my egg quality was about ten years too late to have a viable blast. On my last retrieval, I only produced one 3 day embryo, but the drug company sent me the wrong dosage (double or triple the Rx) of Lovenox. I lost it shortly after starting the Lovenox. I ended up doing donor eggs, which I don’t regret, and everything happens for a reason, I just wish it didn’t cost so much time and money.
Best of luck to you!
We used Fertility Lifelines to get a discount off our medication. Hope that helps! https://www.fertilitysavings.com
There's a list of employers who pay for IVF on Reddit. Consider switching jobs to get a job at those companies
Starbucks does it for part time employees too
At the place we used, there was a 20% discount for veterans.
This. Check around and see what the diffeeent clinics are offering in your area. Some clinics do a flat discount simply for veteran status, while others provide a more significant discount if the couples’ infertility is related to a service-connected medical condition.
Our clinic offered a large discount for self-pay patients, maybe you could inquire about that posibility?
Same. We go to REACH in Charlotte
Some states mandate fertility coverage so I have a secondary insurance plan. But even with that it’s still probably 13,000 with all the extras.
The ART Institute of Washington provides IVF services to military families and is affiliated with Walter Reed
The medicines are expensive, join groups on Facebook, etc (ex. Little brown diaries) where people give away medicine.
Another thing is there are reputable ivf clinics that do a lot of research such as RMA, and this place will give you $$ towards the process for you be involved in an IVF research study, talk to you clinic or if you’re still looking ask around for that.
Vote for Medicaid for all. In the UK, NHS covers IVF and other fertility treatments.

Unless your employer offers it, there’s no coverage. Many large companies do. Also there are a handful of states with decent coverage mandates but you’d need to live there (MA, CT etc).
Otherwise your options are traveling to CNY Fertility for cheaper rates (posted on their site), traveling abroad (in many European countries it’s 1/5 of the cost), or getting a part time job at Starbucks as they offer coverage to PT employees.
Also there are websites that ship cheaper meds from abroad.

If you don’t have insurance coverage, it is very expensive. Even with insurance coverage, I am paying around $10K out of pocket for one cycle due to deductibles, co-insurance, and certain things not being covered. I am not aware of any ways to get this discounted but there are loans, and I’ve seen posts about cheaper places to get medicines.
MRDx Pharmacy in Encino, CA ships nationwide. They specialize in infertility drugs.
20 states mandate some form of ivf coverage, so would definitely look into it. Otherwise self pay is usually cheaper and there are often military discounts. I would ask!
I thankfully live in MA :)
Our clinic had a discount if you bought 3 cycles up front. Fingers crossed you didn’t need them but it was cheaper
Yes, I used bundl. 3 cycles including transfers for 59K. Did not include meds.
Would it be feasible for you to try this outside the US ?

There’s an IVF in Mexico Facebook group. From what I understand the cost is a lot cheaper if you travel to lesser known cities like Guadalajara for it. Beach towns aren’t cheap. Look at LIV fertility.
I’m a veteran and we found out the hospital we used gave a 20% discount to veterans.
Some states are required to offer it if a company is based there. If you live in a state does, but do not work for a company based there, you can purchase supplemental health insurance for it from the marketplace. Illinois is a good example. Grants are out there, but very competitive to get. They are more like lottery wins. I know a couple who chose to drive from Indiana to new York because it was significantly cheaper to travel to a clinic there for ivf
