Lol no, this covid situation will eventually blow over.
Well, I’m not an auditor nor a tax person. But yes, I do believe initially travel will be slow but it will eventually ramp back up once covid is behind us and everyone’s forgotten about it. This is all temporary, a few years down the line, things will go back to normal with some level of flexibility and reduced travel. Even industry recruiters I’ve recently spoken to, have stated that although location is flexible at the moment, you are expected to relocate to the office location once office reopenings resume. Believe it or not, one of my F100 clients is already back in the office at 30% capacity.. another reopens beginning next month. That’s my perspective from what I am observing, and hearing from my clients at exec levels and prospective industry employers. I feel like people are getting a little carried away with what the future of remote work looks like.
I've hears of companies decreasing pay if you move to lower COL area. Ideally it makes sense though. Would love to move 5 mins from a ski town and go skiing right after work
Yes. Very little benefit of living in the city I’m in right now, so not getting the benefit of the high COL. That combined with being stuck in a small space, doesn’t make me want to ride it out too much longer.
