We’ve been mandated to come to the office but governor cuomo has mandated reduction of work forces to 50% in the office by tomorrow. My firm hasn’t said one thing. Seriously?! What can I do

If you dm me the name of your firm only, I will throw some fliers out to NYC officials and maybe it’ll help y’all out when the hammer comes down. I’m from Texas so I guarantee you I have no idea who you are.

Keep your job and continue to regretfully participate in your employer’s socially irresponsible and shortsighted behavior that is almost definitely spreading the infection exponentially, endangering lives of the weakest members of our society, and prolonging the impending economic devastation

There must be a way to report this. If the firm doesn’t comply by tomorrow and you’re in NYC, call 311.

Curious: how long have you been at the firm? I assume all partners and most seniors with be working from home - as well as the support staff. I think your firm can hit 50% easy if the right levers are pulled.

I don't think I have ever felt so stupid before. My firm recently hired someone who was barred in 2021. I was barred 2019. I took it as I was senior to him and tried to mentor him. Well the joke is on me. Because he worked for the govt for some years before becoming an attorney, they made him a SENIOR associate. He has 0 prior attorney experience. Yet he's a senior. I have no words.
