Go to where you feel you’d have the most fun, given your reasons
Booth
H/S over W
HSW over other M7s
M7 over non-M7s

You’re in a great position either way. The only real tangible advantage to either is cost, which is a pretty big difference. I would follow your heart. You’ll feel so much better about it, and your pocket will thank you too

Booth probably makes more sense here

For networking, Wharton. Academics, Booth. Fun, probably Wharton. Money, Booth. Second degree, Wharton probably sexier than Booth.
Ah makes sense. Will likely be sponsored so not an issue frankly (should’ve clarified up top)
I was in a similar situation, except that I was coming sponsored so $ was not an issue. Chose Booth and I have 0 regrets.
If I had neither sponsorship nor scholarship? Maybe, depending on my post MBA ambitions. Feel free to DM
Agree with your logic. What I wanted to pressure test was whether Wharton is truly considered to be a top 3 school. I.e the truth around H/S/W vs. simply H/S and then the rest of the M7 - in which case I could go with either school
Paul Graham from Y Combinator once advised, if you’re torn between two choices but one is a lot more prestigious, pick the less prestigious one because it must be so compelling for you to feel torn. It’s kinda like choosing btw two women where one is hotter but you’re more attracted by the other’s brains and personality.
Graham also said prestige is just trying to impress other people. The people impressed with Wharton are going to be impressed by Booth. But most people will have no idea what these schools are.
Another way to think about this is the following. You ever meet people who brag about or are excessively proud of their high school? It’s cause it’s been downhill ever since. If you still find yourself relying on the brand of your MBA years later, something went wrong.
Under what circumstances would you pick Wharton over booth outside of specific interests in healthcare/finance? Feel like Wharton has to win more cross offers vs booth and wondering why
Wharton is generally stronger than Booth if you want to work: PE/VC, retail, real estate, healthcare, internationally, tech, fundraising for own startup (particularly D2C). If you're recruiting for east coast IB also far less annoying to go to NYC on a moments notice from Philly than Chicago. That said all of these advantages aren't absolute. To your point individual merits outweigh marginal prestige benefits. So definitely take fit and money into consideration but there are still genuine reasons why Wharton generally wins cross admits by a wide margin
Since you are sponsored, the scholarship doesn't matter. So why not go with W, which is generally agreed to be a top 3 school? Unless you have specific reasons such as having to be in the Midwest.

OP’s firm might let them keep scholarship money. So it’d be like Wharton vs. booth but with a $70k check in hand.
