What time does Wharton release invites tomorrow?
GSB not even close
Honestly this just shows take this bowl with a grain of salt. Wharton places 15-16% in buyside, GSB places 23-25%. Wharton’s class is 2x.
Wharton PE/VC > GSB (personal experience from summer recruiting)
What do you do at Miz?
It's insane how much of a premium people place on today's clout. Wharton > GSB in this scenario and it's not even close.

Wharton no question/not even close.
Jk just mocking the others, this is a pretty close call, talk to alums and current students at the companies that you want to land at.
GSB no question
If you are 100% on VC, then GSB. If PE, I'd go with W.
Not saying it’s good or bad, but if OP were to say just PE or just VC there’d be an obvious answer imo.
Big difference between VC, growth, PE,…and let’s not get into every asset class, but agreeing with the other posts here — GSB for earlier stage, and W for traditional buyout.
Got $120k at Wharton. Got the GSB call on Wednesday and not even thinking twice about W any more. (I am still evaluating GSB against HBS though)
Didn’t decide to apply to business schools for the economics over the next 2 years (or 5) - would have stayed in current job if that’s the calculus, way more than the $100k difference
So yeah… not even close 👻
Go to HBS so I can get off the GSB waitlist
Don’t cheap out on your education. There’s no redoing your MBA. If you’re serious about VC/PE, $110k is chump change.

Commenting on this so McK doesn’t think I’m a liar ugh
GSB/HBS any day
Do they place that many more candidates into PE to scoff at $110k or is it the quality of the alumni and location that’s causing your reaction?

It’s the prestige mongering, I’m even saying this as someone who thinks GSB is the #1 MBA program in the world. I think when it’s someone else’s situation, it’s very easy to just throw out suggestions.

Not. Even. Close.
