You better have a 500mm in AUM in September of 2018 to justify that level of volatility of your book.

Can severance packages be negotiated? My role was eliminated in a restructuring and they’re offering six months severance. We were in the process of updating my job title to be more descriptive, which would make it much easier for me to get the next job. Do I try to see if they would update my title? (HR here is not easy to deal with.) Also, I heard that if you leave you can cash out PTO, but I don’t know if that’s true with a severance package. Appreciate an educated perspective. TIA

3 years post MBA at MBB. Hoping to exit into tech and just received a S&O offer at a midsize but fast growing company. 330 TC. Thinking about my progression after this- worth 1-2 more years in consulting or will solid tech experience be just as good? Also what does the path normally look like for these S&O roles… do people hop into PM or sales or some other exec type role?

Do MBB partners have pensions? If so how much and at what tenure/age? Had no idea that was a thing...

I'm hiring and I've just learned that my HR department is screening candidates by asking them about very specific functions and frameworks.

"Can you describe your experience using Element#remove()?"

"Can you describe your experience migrating from X framework to Y framework?"

We don't use Y framework and have no plans to use Y framework in the foreseeable future. I also don't expect candidates to have all functions memorized. How on Earth did they find out about Y framework!? 🙄🫣
