Thinking about applying to b-school next year. How hard is it to actually get into HBS/GSB? What scores do you need if not an URM?

What are some of the best books you’ve read about people and investing? Such as dealing with people (business psychology almost) and then investing (real estate more specifically)!

I am looking for books that give practical advice, not just big picture theory and motivation.

Maybe it’s just me but I feel like I see those commercials for Safelight car window repair 9 zillion times a day. That annoying jingle. I don’t get it. How often are people getting their windshields replaced. I’ve been driving for nearly 30 years and have never replaced a windshield.

I’m in a weird situation. I agreed to a mutual departure from my company. At least that’s how it was framed to my team. But in reality I was forced out en route to getting terminated. My replacement is from offshores and this is known to the team. Do I tell my colleagues and friends what actually transpired? Do I leave into the abyss and hope the story holds? Right now everyone seems happy for me that I’m moving on to greener pastures. I’m just worried the story won’t hold.

Hi! 38F making my annual 401k bump in salary % contributions. Currently at 6% Roth deferral, do I add to Roth or traditional 401k contributions? I had 9 years at an old job that was all traditional contributions, so I’m torn at what the “right” thing to do as I’m working to get closer to max out my annual contributions. Open to advice and resources TIA!!

What’s the appropriate pay for a Video Prodcuer/ editor (for web) in London? I think I’m being underpaid. I have a BA(Hons) in Film & TV and a MA in Television Journalism. I’ve been working at the same company for 4 years and was promoted 3 years ago. I was told to ‘prove myself’ when I asked about the compensation, then the pandemic put a stop to any raises.
