What advice do you have for ensuring longer-term stability as an agency owner, especially as so many clients move to project-based contracts rather than AOR? Is everyone freelance/1099s?

Start with projects. But try to move to a retainer. Retainers are crucial for an indie shop’s stability. But at the same time, never stop doing projects. It keeps you sharp and it gets your foot in the door. It’s a matter of balance.
At GUT almost everyone is full time.

I dig. Transitioning to retainer has so far been out weak spot and I’m not sure precisely why. Wondered if you have any resources or insights - we cap out at $1m annually and I cannot figure out a way past it

I joined PWC as a technology consultant to work as a tester, automation coding related work but i haven't got any training on that and plus now I'm working for an internal project for them. In that they have their own tool which will not be in use for other companies. It's going to be one year. I have no idea what to do as i joined this company to have experience in automation coding etc but nothing like that happened. Please suggest me should I switch or wait for them to change my project??

Is it just me or are there entirely too many people in Business Services, specifically TC’s, who are just folks from client service that don’t want to deal with hours and travel anymore but have no formal training in the Business Services function they transition to? It seems to me very few TC’s are professionals in HR with any background, training or certifications in HR.

Current project is really impactful and interesting but I'm noticing that the work I am doing is not being recognized as much as the people essentially creating slide decks and just "looking busy". Seems to me the only recognition and promotion is given to people who act like mini managers. Honestly a bit disgusted by this. I have about 3.5 YOE in federal contracting, half a year with Uncle D. I have language skills in critical language and TS clearance.

Two ppl I know A&B informed me that A is working at my employer. So he is my colleague. Both of them were reached out by a girl I am chasing.
She said to A: do you know that C is working here? (C is me)

Now here is the deal, I had to hear from B that he got informed by this girl while she didn’t even let me know? What are your thoughts on this and what does it mean? We use talk a lot but she clearly avoid me with this or is playing hard to get?
