I think the best advice that you can give is the honest truth. It’s a career path that opens a lot of doors and compensates well, but not everyone is really cut out for the hours, the grind, the stress, and so on

Doesn't open a lot of doors. Kid should study computer science.

Majority of my department has been informed we will need to look for other positions internally due to our jobs being outsourced. The timeframe for the full transition of all work to the vendors is approximately 6 months. This is the second time in 14 months I have had to look for another position due to outsourcing of work. Since I can only work remotely for my company due to location, is it best to resign or to hold out in hopes for a transition to another department?

Transferred with my company to the UK from the U.S. literally three weeks before the pandemic hit.
