Currently at one of the Big 3 Japanese banks (MUFG, Mizuho, SMBC) in debt capital markets and might have an opportunity to join the Capital Markets team at Wells Fargo (all in London). What are the thoughts reputationally on WF vs the Japanese banks in EMEA? Also if anyone has any insight into promotions (ability to go up the ranks faster in WF) and salary what would be super helpful! Wells Fargo Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc.
Hi fishes
I was supposed to have my Amazon Round 3 interview in the first week of May but the interviewer didn't join. My recruiter didn't reply for a few days and then rescheduled it.
Even in this rescheduled interview, my interviewer didn't join. This time my recruiter joined and said she'll reschedule my interview.
She still hasn't done that even after a follow up.
Is this common? Is this some kind of patience test?
I have no clue but I'm really frustrated at this point.
Please suggest

Short answer: Take a breath and formulate a plan. It sounds like you got burned and then hopped to a bad fit. Thinking through what went badly should help you figure out how to screen for similar issues in potential employers.

Yeah, I know it’s a shock, and it sends a lot of people into panic mode. Sometimes unpacking a bad work experience (with a friend or coach) can be helpful too. Just so you can process how that situation played out and put it behind you.
Because of your last two sentences, I suggest therapy and/or a career coach and/or long discussions with a trusted friend.
I think that taking time to rediscovered what work you enjoy… and what work do you want to avoid.
