Delta
Not United

Delta will give you the best onboard experience. Miles are known as skypesos cause rates are so high especially for biz. American has a strategy of pulling out of nyc in favor of Phil. Now they’re expanding again at jfk but mainly for international routes and using JetBlue as a feeder, so you may not get a lot of domestic non stops on aa metal. Some decent mileage options on partners but generally not a lot of aa saver space. United has major hub to about anywhere and ewr is pretty easy to get to especially from Manhattan. United has good mileage rates and partners across the world but they’ve done some devaluing lately. Due to aa weird history of pulling out of nyc and now building up through JetBlue I’d pass. If you care more about having a tv on every flight and not so much about free vacations go delta. FYI I fly United

That’s usually where the best value is but it’s still hard to find availability
Any of the legacy carriers (United, Delta, or American). They all have hubs there and (in non-COVID times) nonstop flights to pretty much any major or minor city.
Delta bc (pre-covid) they had better onboard service and a more customer service-centered culture (while everyone has cancellations and delays, Delta is better at reacting; I’ve consistently had great customer service agents, while agents with UA and AA have been more hit-or-miss). They also have more consistency in their fleet (UA and AA kept old interiors from some merger for way too long, and they skimp on the IFE domestically).
In exchange they charge a premium on tickets, but if you’re in consulting you don’t pay for your own flights, so it’s all good.
