What am I worth in terms of TC? SDE, 6 YOE, background at a startup and 2 mid-level companies, MS degree. Assuming I'm desirable enough for interviews at a handful of good places. Not based on a previous salary, just objectively.

7 YOE with 1 mid level and then mostly early-mid stage startups, Bachelors in SE, I'm making 110k base in the midwest. So, probably more 😉

I am a background check away from putting in my notice. KEEP grinding if you’re miserable and/or have trouble getting out of bed in the morning. This took a lot of ghosting and interviews+offer letters being taken off the table due to COVID. Stay humble and you’ll be next. Take a midday walk and schedule some coffee meetings to expand your network and stay sane.

Does anyone have narcolepsy? Any tips on how you’ve managed it? I have had it (undiagnosed) for years and have bee putting up with it. Fell asleep in classes, while driving longer than 30 min, and in an instant. I fell asleep in a client meeting, when I was one of the lead presenters, the other day, and was super embarrassed. Is it worth getting officially diagnosed? There doesn’t apper to be any good treatments. 😞
