What apps/systems do you use to keep track of all your projects and tasks for the various matters you're working on?

I recently took on a more senior associate role and am juggling even more projects and assignments than before. I want to make sure I am putting my best foot forward and keeping track of everything I'm juggling so I don't drop something by accident.

Workflowy is great, super simple but powerful list.

Outlook, with start dates, due dates, and categories, which I also use for my email. A modified version of Getting Things Done and Michael Lineberger.

I've been trying to revamp my outlook for sure. Haven't been able to get categories to work for me yet, but looking to try and figure out a system for getting it to work!

Notion

I've heard really good things about Notion! Downloaded it but kind of got overwhelmed. How do you use it as part of your work flow? I'd love to learn more.

Honestly Microsoft Planner is the unsung MVP of Office. If you have it, I highly recommend it for case/project managing both yourself and the other attorneys you work with.

like

I've never heard of it! I'll have to look and see if we've got it.

Hello fam! Hope you’ll are enjoying your Sunday!

I faked my resume I mean my contracting firm did and I didn’t have choice and I got the job. Now my client wants to offer me a full time position. I kind of feel like they trust me with the work I’m doing and also considering my past experiences to offer me a full time and moreover it’s only been 3 months.

I know it’s a little unusual but what do you guys think/suggest me to do in this situation?!

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

I work in a firm that is known for litigation defense. I’ve been developing my own plaintiffs practice as well. I am able to pay the bills with my hourly defense work, which gives me time to focus on a handful of high value PI case a year on contingency. I was recently negotiating a case and was told part of the reason the claims rep/OC was jerking me around was because they didn’t see me as a plaintiffs attorney. Is there any way to change this perception or does it just come over time?
