What do the hours look like and how’s the pay at entry level?

I have interviews coming up at BD in Maryland and, coming from the hospital world, I have no clue what salary to ask for. The position is a scientist/quality role for microbiology research and development. For context, I have 4 years of experience in a hospital blood bank and am a certified Medical Laboratory Technologist. I was thinking in the 65-70k range, but the recruiter made it seem like that was easily attainable so I’m worried I’m asking too low. Would 75-80k be do-able?

I'm starting to look around for something impactful and could use some help. Amazon's remote roles are pretty limited. I have a heavy background with cloud, AI/ML and data. Looking to be involved with using my skills to move the needle on something interesting and engaging but not wanting to work grueling hours. Higher pay has usually driven my career moves.

Been with my current company 5 years now. I run my own team but have a micromanaging boss who likes to create chaos for me. He also exhibits stalker like behavior by looking up my family online (addresses, emails, phone numbers, FB/Twitter accounts, you name it) and driving by my house and commenting on things I was doing during the weekend or after work. How can I communicate the same to my current manager and ask him to match the new offer - CTC of (X + Y%) LPA offered by another company??

Deferred basis in a partnership. If I am looking to prove out the ending deferred related to an investment in a partnership is it as “simple” as taking the initial contribution and rolling in taxable income year over year for tax basis. For book basis initial investment rolling in book income year over year. Minus any distributions for both.

I received a very good offer from Barclays but due to some personal reasons i chose another MNC(same pkg) over barclays . I am feeling sad because I always wanted to join Barclays.

European born male. Lived in the US and latam for 15 years. I feel that Europe has become a no go region to work hard and do what I please with my money. Forced state pension with rediculous retirement age, aging population, uncontrolled immigration ( and it's costs) all for the supposedly benefit of free health insurance and safety . Why do people still refer to the old continent as the promised land? There is no way I could save as much and have the same lifestyle that have here back home.

Can someone comment on what an associate actually does at a sales/sourcing-heavy growth equity shop? Is it like a business development representative role at a tech company, in terms of the funnel/outreach/crm activities you do? Do you learn less about investing compared to due diligence-focused associate roles? How’s associate-level sourcing different from “PE analyst” sourcing?

Any tips for the 30 min PE case studies? I’ve had trouble finding the balance between asking more qualitatively about the company so as to understand its competitive landscape etc to inform assumptions and just straight up asking for numbers. I guess if the goal is to build a LBO, what are okay questions to ask without just appearing straight up asking as if you aren’t thinking about it? E.g. is this company capital intensive? Vs. historically, what % of sales is spent on capex?
