I think the self-promotion to get promoted is a little odd. I've built my case the last 12 months. Watching people scramble to build s case in 2 weeks is laughable.
I’m a second year BTA up for promotion to C this year. What roles/positions should I apply for? Hoping for possible $100K-110 pay. Mostly do functional and PMO work with CS background
Is a breakaway from Tech consulting to economic development possible? What are your stories or stories you’ve heard? Thanks for all advice/opinion. 2 years in after college with recent promotion
Incompetent senior is up for promotion this year and is mostly likely gonna get promoted cuz she knows how to kiss asses. A couple people on her projects already quit and no associates want to (con’t)
Seriously, how to ask for a raise? I have 1YOE and and seeing a lot of people jumping ship for huge raises. I would rather stay at my firm for various reasons, so how do I bring this up? And to who? Thanks
UPDATE: ***“likely no merit based raises unless promotion”*** UPDATE: Layoffs are possible, markets are “fluid.” Leadership will not commit to saying layoffs are off the table. Overview on Business 1. Financial revenue decline 2. Cost Savings NEW INFO 1. 10% short on revenue plan 2. Turnover down significantly, 2,000 excess employees 3. Pricing pressures are creating economic headwinds
Got promoted to senior but did not get a raise to go with it. Firm keeping salaries flat this year due to COVID-19, but I was shocked when I found out promoted staff wouldn’t be getting a raise either. To me, this whole thing rings hollow because the firm has told us multiple times that they were projecting flat growth for the year when compared to last year (which was one of the best in firm history). So it pisses me off that they shot their mouth off about how great year last year was...cont
How did you guys handle leaving an agency to go to another one? I plan to leave my current spot if I get the offer I’m interviewing for, but I have not given anyone the inclination that I’m looking for other roles. I’ve just started convos to see if it’s possible to get a raise or promotion in the near future, but no answers yet. Just don’t want to burn any bridges or blindside anyone. I’ve been around for about 10 months now
Hi 🐠 I have a job offer to leave consulting to go to a start up. It’s hardly a raise but I think the work is really cool. I have 2.5 YOE and think there is value in making this move for start up experience. Any thoughts from some older/wiser 🐠? Thank you!!
GT really pulled through with the pay raises and bonuses this year. Non-GT folks - what's the situation elsewhere?!
Hi fishes, I am currently a staff 3 at EY GDS and got confirmation on my promotion. I will be a S1 effective from october and i got the exceptional performer rating. But i have 3 YOE with 8 LPA and i received an indirect hint that my hike wont be good. Please let me know your thoughts? How much can i expect in terms (%) increment this year based on the promotion? Is that even dependent on the promotion? And should i look for other opportunities considering the YOE and current package?
When do you find out about discover? Want to quit after promotion in July but also want to experience Discover.
People accepted counter offer and got higher pay and raise again. Should I also do this? Is it ethical? I’m in tax NYC office.
I’m really conflicted. I am 23 and I love my firm and current team so much, I just got promoted and the raise was okay (13k increase), I wouldn’t be stressed if it wasn’t for the fact that I financially support members of my family and now the raise doesn’t seem like enough especially since student loan payments are coming back soon. I know I can go to another firm and probably get a nice pay increase but I really don’t want to. I don’t know what to do.
So what’s the deal with OT for juniors in NYC? Did they raise the threshold again? I know only the big holding companies do it
Cool, firmwide promotion list is out so I can be bitter about all the other people I started with getting promoted when I didn't #grumpy
Starting to feel a lot better about my crappy ass Guidehouse bonus/raise after seeing the Deloitte fallout today 🤣
Haven’t had a raise in two years. Making $100k in SF and was just told by HR I’m “in my range.” Is it time to jump ship?
New to Deloitte, How is the promotion path defined to go from Solution Specialist(SS) to senior SS? Eg. how many years in SS should we work before asking/making our promotion case for SSS

3 weeks ago I applied to a CM role with KPMG and last Thursday I received an email to fill out the KPMG Online Employment Application as I move forward to the interviewing process and contact my recruiter with any questions. However, no recruiters have reached out to me yet. What should I do? (I applied on my own and am not in the referral program)
What credentials do you need to get into MBB. I have a 4 yr B.E undergrad and an MIS grad degree. Worked for an IT services firm for 2.5 years, Deloitte for a year and now KPMG. Any tips?
Help! Need some tips on negotiating. Step by step. SC at Deloitte offered at AWS for L5 data scientist. Big raise to $240k TC. 3 YOE+MS. Word of mouth says that this is a good offer for my location (DC). I have a bunch of questions and I'm also looking for any tips for anything I'm missing. -Even if it's a good offer, is there always $ on the table to ask for? -I have a final interview elsewhere this Thursday. Should I start negotiating now or wait until I hear on the other option? ...
What are some Tips you have for big 4 experienced hires? Am planning on taking cpas before I start and want to ensure I can do as much possible before I start to make transition process smoother.
If it's not requested in the job announcement and it's not required to complete the form, do you have to submit your transcript when applying to MBB?

Considering applying for an entry level business analyst (consulting) position at a competitor Big 4 firm. I just completed my first year in audit, so I’m wondering if it’s still appropriate for me to apply as entry level instead of experienced hire?
Silly question but have any of you ever had health insurance pay for a personal trainer or nutritionist? How did you do it? I'm a healthy weight but interested in seeking these services
