Yes real corporate jobs pay like that.
what YOE are they asking for? I would expect 120k total comp minimum as an associate. Source: analyst in corp M&A at 95k
Yep
Strategy manager for F500 is either the bottom or one from the bottom in the org. Not surprised at those salary ranges.
And what do you mean a strategy manager-ish experience is at 300-400k TC?
They are asking for the world. Know strategy and M&A, create IP, and lead / train people. I feel this requires 3-5years of stronger strategy experience which a person would be a manager at a strategy shop already. MBB and CDD T2 shops are paying the mangers $300-400k already.
The role is director. 4-8 YOE in strategy consulting lol. I am just trying to wrap my head around how the hell do they expect this experience for $120-160k lol
If the corporate role is at the director level, and there isn't significant equity and bonus component, 120-160k is definitely underpaid. I thought the corporate title was strategy manager.
Apologies for the miscommunication. The role is corp dev director. The role is asking for 4-8 years of MBB/CDD T2 experience. Job description includes corp dev work, IP content creation, and significant people management and training. I am not sure where this company can find this experience / job expectations for under $200k. Or am I missing something major?
Glassdoor can be super inaccurate if this is a small company. What is the industry and size of the company?
Corp dev manager should be around $140-160 TC, director at $180-230 TC. This for large companies in non-tech.
It’s a lifestyle play. People are going from 70 hours/ week to 40-50 hours per week.
Is it pure Corp dev/M&A or Corp strategy too?
If strategy, probably see more consistent hours. M&A is going to be dependent on deal flow. Highly acquisitive and hours will bump up a lot during a live deal
