Hi all,
Do firms match offers from other Big 4s for campus hires? I’ve received a campus offer from both KPMG and EY. I’m more interested in the EY offer, but they are paying 3k less than KPMG.
Would it be a bad move to let them know about the other offer and try negotiating? I feel it wont make a difference in the long run, but at the same time I don’t want to leave any money on the table if possible.
Thanks!

if you want an opportunity just go for it and apply/network. don’t let naysayer losers on here tell you shouldn’t try.
High if you network.
If you interview well and know what you're talking about in your chosen domain, your chances are high. Working at smaller clients give your broader, end-to-end perspective than many who worked on big clients auditing only cash their entire first year. Valuable perspective...
Working at a big firm for bigger clients is also valuable - get to see advantages of scale and working on more complex topics.
Anyway - if you know your stuff and can handle the pressure of interviews (and sales situations) you'll be absolutely fine
Dm me, don’t think it would be a tough transition at BT. We actively recruit both traditional and non traditional career paths don’t think this would be an issue
Also agree with this.
Let me refer you to EY accounting advisory. I can have a recruiter call you next week.
Yes dm me
If you’re not anchored to one industry, where that expertise creates consulting value, you may need to do some skill stacking— coding, data modeling, etc.
Your easiest path would be through deal advisory at a public accounting firm, pivot to a broader advisory role from there.
I was 1 at small firm, 3 at regional, and 1 in small cap manufacturing and got into FAAS
I went from big 4 assurance to big 10 consulting. It took like 2 months total, wasn’t very hard.
What should a Controller expect in salary.

Non-profit
$83M in revenue
I'm one of 2 controller but I have the bigger departments and more revenue by about $5M
I don't think you'll get much help here...you may want to create a new post as opposed to replying to an existing post with an unrelated question. My intention is to be helpful to you and I would answer your question if I could, but I do think a new post would result in more answers 🙂
It can totally happen! DM me for referral to KPMG.
DM for a referral to top 8 firm
