As an analyst the way to do well is be reliable, don’t drop the ball when it’s passed to you no matter if it’s a big thing or small thing. Ask (good) questions often and show a growth mindset.
In terms of practical things, put your hand up and be reliable in things like BD and practice development, eg be part of a social event organising team or represent the firm in campus career fairs.
I think it’s really just be reliable and be the go-to person for something.
Also when life gives you lemons make lemonade. As a junior you are not as proven and so it’s common that you won’t be put into your dream projects from day 1. There is a massive difference between a junior that takes the role they’re given and uses it as a learning opportunity to those that complain or think they’re above something. Of course I’m not saying to be a doormat either so this should be balanced with vocalising your interest areas and networking with the people who can get you there
Sexual favors.
Be curious, helpful and reliable.

Have good command of the details - people often think the best way to impress senior leaders is being strategic. But they get a lot of that. What they don’t always get is how the nuts and bolts work
Ask good questions
Follow the arc of a conversation and know what is relevant to the discussion
Volunteer for proposals/BD
Reach out and offer to help with proposal / practice build work. Best way to build a network and strong senior relationship

Knowing what you don't know. We hate seeing Jr staff too eager to impress take on a ton of work they can't do and don't ask for help. We then see mediocre or terrible output when a tiny bit of coaching could have produced great output. Have the humility to admit your gaps, ask for help, and NEVER, ask the same question twice. Show us you are a fast learning sponge who is more focused on doing good work than on impressing us and you will impress us.
