If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Any good detox diets that good to try out and not horrroble for your body? I want to curb some sugar cravings and bad eating habits over the past year. Has anyone done one they liked? I was thinking of starting a 3 day detox then go into 7days of a white meat/fruit cleanse for a week. Then just stop eating like a complete child on holiday after those are done 😅 any advice on what helped you get past the cravings and level set would be helpful! What's the most effective way for a small RIA to recruit FAs who have a few years experience, want to break away from large/corporate firms? I'm a $70M fee-only (commissions for insurance) independent RIA with a generous comp schedule that enables FAs to own their own book while they grow. As the owner, my focus is to help FAs succeed; as a firm, our focus is on client service and helping them succeed. I can afford a small salary, but not benefits. I'm especially interested in female FAs.

I have done 4 years of research in various fields and have readily available skills. If anyone can refer me to a consulting job or to a recruiter that would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone have experience leaving their firm and using the pension benefit to negotiate with the new company? I’m not vested and will receive an offer from industry (company doesn’t have a pension plan). Curious to hear what others have done. My pension wouldn’t be huge but it’s a decent chunk of money to walk away from. What are some things that have worked? Additional sign-on bonus, bigger stock grants, etc. Thanks.

Just a thought, perhaps the admin can pin two threads:

1) When / how did you tell your work you were pregnant?
2) Would you change jobs / interview while pregnant?

Both of these questions come up almost on a daily basis, we should have a centralized thread to help each other out. :)

Are there any executives out there who have recently negotiated with their CEO for an updated compensation package? I know I'm being underpaid as a CFO who has also handled all of the HR responsibilities for the past 3 years. Currently at $130K with $30K bonus at the end of the year. I don't take the insurance through the company either. Currently no 401K match program available.

I just found out that I'm pregnant. I was going to go on my IVF cycle in August!

My Dr had previously mentioned that I’d be given progesterone after the transfer. I’d like to have that given to my age and history of recurring miscarriages.

Do I ask my OBGYN or my IVF Dr for this prescription? My obgyn is a believer that a baby is nature’s choice; she didn't give me anything during my last pregnancy so I’m not sure how helpful she’d be this time.

Hi, I recently applied to a salesforce company and was selected for an interview. I had interviews with a recruiter, department manager and hiring manager and did well in them all. My final interview was with the CEO which lasted for about 10 minutes. He said he has read the notes from the previous interviews and the recruiter will get in touch with you. What are the chances I do not get this job given that I did well in all 3 interviews leading to the final interview with the CEO?

Is it me or does the newer generation value more intangible things that aren’t easily measured like work-life balance, fulfillment and purpose in work. Which makes it difficult for firms because that’s not something that is easily measured. Also, this is why there is “value” in crypto, NFTs and the metaverse. It’s a clash of the generations that value tangible things like money, houses, cars and one that values time, experiences, personal online image. Thoughts?
