When is it time to give up on a job offer coming in and move on? Internal recruiter has been in constant contact with me and extremely positive, but the final decision seems to keep getting pushed off because they can’t get all the decision makers together to decide - 3 weeks now. Feels like I’m being strung along or maybe their second choice. I wasn’t looking to leave my current role, but this is an awesome opportunity. It’s starting to distract me in my current job though and can’t let it go.

Hey folks- I’m a product manager (tenure wise, a senior analyst) working with a difficult/ stubborn SME (who is tenure wise a manager). He’s closely involved in the product build, and given the extreme hierarchy practiced at McKinsey, often shuts down my product thinking/ideas. He is extremely smart and knows the ins and outs of this problem space, competitors, and even our business priorities, but utterly rejects design and product thinking. For example…CONTD

Hi I am having offer with natwest as b5 in retail banking. What is the career path and hike I can expect? Please replay thanks in advance

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.

Fishes - can someone guide me is it possible to shift to PwC US from AC?

Managed to build a good relationship with the onshore team (US) and found a suitable opening that matches my skill there. If the US partners and leadership are fine with me transferring to US, can AC Kolkata pull the plug? I joined 6 months back as a Manager 2. Wanted to know if one has to serve a minimum year or two with AC K before moving abroad?

So I met up with an old friend of mine and she is not working at the moment. She was a senior level auditor. I thought about asking her to come back to public accounting and decided not to because this job sucked so much. I know it is bad, why did I put myself through and made second year audit manager.

Preparing my work papers knowing they’re shit, and manager signs off on them😌 great feeling

I fucked up big time
But the reason I ended up fucking up was solely cause I fell sick and ended up going to get surgery.
For some reason I don't feel people would be believe me

How do you deal with a challenger type of personality? I’m fairly new and I know the senior is trying to teach me the thought process. As a new manager (~1/2 year in), I still find myself deferring a lot to partners. For example, “here’s what I think but let’s confirm with (partner/md)”. Not all the time, but often enough to notice. @Is this something I should be doing? Does it matter?
