A very fair point

Usually I recommend only buying VTI (US total market) and VXUS (Ex-US total market), but in your case, look at VTV (US Total Value Stocks). I don’t know the composition of your portfolio, but this will probably provide a nice counterbalance to your stock portfolio.

VTV or “Value” stocks that generally are counter-cyclical to tech stocks will probably suffice for your needs.

These are the top holdings of VTV:

Thank you!

What do you mean non-tech? Most are going to have some tech unless they are just a fund of another industry

XBI or IBB for biotech

@AD1 not sarcastic at all. Sounds like you were born speaking this mysterious language, that if I knew I would be in a much better position 💰

If you’re looking for sector specific etfs, you can look at state street. I think most of the other big names have them as well

I work in insurance. I was working for an Allstate agent and was fired the day after my grandmothers funeral for being “unenthusiastic in our morning meeting”. Now I’m having anxiety searching for a job. I don’t think I want to sell anymore yet every single recruiter I interview with says I should, that I have a “salesperson mentality”. I’m burnt out. Has anyone else felt this way? How did handle it? Is there a different career path I can take or am I destined to sell insurance forever?

I see everyone screaming “buy the dip”. If you are going to I advise the strategy I learned when I started out 10/20/30, 1/2/3. Invest 1/3 of your cash on the sidelines when the stock falls 10%, another third at 20% and the rest at 30%. Definitely helped in March. This assumes you did your OWN research and analysis on the stocks you purchased. Junk is junk no matter what price you bought it.
