Everlane for high quality, modern/classic pieces.
Yes!! Build up basics and stuff that will last.
Honestly, fast fashion is death and you can get really cool shot at second hand shops that’s made better and a lot more unique. It can be a good self-love to browse through a ton of different stuff
Rent the runway subscription for the win
Madewell!
ThredUP resale is the future
Zara has been slowly raising their prices the past few years and tbh it isn’t that cheap anymore. & other stories is my go to. Also Everlane.
Loft! Especially the sale section
Sézane has changed my life
Love ThredUp - you can get amazing, investment-worthy pieces for low $$
& other stories, NeedSupply, Ssense, Article&, Réalisation Par, Free People, Paloma Wool, LaCausa, Reformation
Therealreal, Gilt, the OUTNET. Ain’t no shame in the buying last season at half off game.
I love Uniqlo for basics! Or maybe Express?
Express is my secret weapon for blazers. Some of their stuff is really synthetic feeling but man they have some cute blazers.
Etsy vintage and stuff made by small designers. You’ll be surprised!

Honestly, ETSY is the shit. I find so many small designers hustling out of Eastern Europe that make quality and affordable stuff. Many times to measurement.
any name you can share?😺
Asos! Involves some patience but 👌🏼
Zara is good, but also try Nordstrom Rack and if you hunt around frequently, Nordstrom. I also like Loft and they have frequent sales, and Express has some good professional basics. Also, stop in any local boutiques you pass by - I've found lots of great, unique pieces in boutiques. But building up a wardrobe takes a long time, so go on with that mindset. Don't expect to have everything you want/need in 1 week
Go high and low. Mixing is great. Hit sales - just wait for after the intros of the season - a month later it’s all less. Create your own style. Don’t dress just one brand. Sneakers work with skirts and everything. Also get one great pair of boots. With a 2 -3 inch heel. Just for when you want to feel polished. Or dress up jeans.
I've actually had good success with Stitch Fix. If you're willing to spend $, they'll send you high quality items. It's a super easy process.
Everlane for basics, RTR subscription if you like to dress up, and Poshmark/Tradesy if you know what you want and are cool with second hand.
