2 YOE - 96k base + 10% bonus as a senior in big 4 advisory (Chicago). Objectively speaking I feel like I make good money but I’m really not sure if it’s worth the hours. When did you guys start to feel like the marginal gain of staying at the big 4 year over year started to drop off?

One problem I'm having while teaching online is not being able to see my students' work! I'm so used to being able to look over their shoulders and help them!

Is there any sort of rule/law preventing workplaces from calling students during the school day? A few of my students will get calls during the day about taking shifts and other matters. It seems really inappropriate and inconsiderate since their managers know they're in school.

Reaching out to the history buffs: I’ve been unable to get historical parallels out of my mind when thinking about Russia and Ukraine. But I’m no expert on history, so I wondered if I could better perspectives from the resident experts.

I keep going back to the Russo-Japanese war, for starters. And with America’s growing aid, I also have thoughts about the Lusitania. Are these valid parallels? If so, what can we predict about their modern conclusions?

We just got a beautiful brand new building with lots of new technology! Yay! I'm a bit older though & anxious about working it all since there doesn't seem to be any instruction in place. How much do younger teachers mind being bothered for help or a little tutorial on everything? IT is definitely overwhelmed and wouldn't be able to come to do that.

Something getting to me is parents micromanaging what I do. I don’t come to your work to tell you how to do your job, don’t disrupt my day to tell me how to do mine! What’s your current pet peeve??

I’m a retired teacher. I had family medical issues that prompted me to take an early retirement. I’m sad all the time because I miss teaching and the daily interactions with colleagues. The other issue is my income. With inflation out of control, I fear my pension isn’t enough for the long term. The good news is, the family medical issues may have positive outcome, at least for the next five years. I want to teach again, but I’m torn. Any advice?
