What are hours like in big4 forensics practice? I’m sure it varies, so maybe give an example for times when you are busy with projects and times you are not

It’s all project-based - you won’t know until you’re on a project (or a few) what your hours will be.

I’ve been here for 2 years and you work less the higher you move up. I typically work 40-50 hour weeks but sometimes the clients deadline moves up and you work 75-90. That’s extremely rare for me

likehelpful

Ive never heard that before, that you work fewer hours the more you move up.

Try going to a boutique. Sounds like they have better pay and much better hours. I’ve been at one of the top boutiques for about a year and most people average 40-45 hours a week. However, that’s really made up of a ton of 20-30 hour weeks and a ton of 50-60 hour weeks, not much of the steady in-between

Which boutique is this?

You sadly cannot bill night terrors, so be sure to add a few hours to the above estimates.

Been on for a bit over a year and I've worked 55 avg every week. Lightest week has been maybe 42 hours and heaviest week was nearly 90. This is all AML though so it's a real grind

EY 1 what exit opportunities are you considering?

Morning everyone!

I’m currently working on employee data set and business wants to figure out the employee shift type based on number of working hour and days worked and categorize into 8*5 (8 hours 5 days) or (10 hours 4 days) a week. But the real challenge is employee hours are varying because of their overtime work and other reasons so it ranges from 0-20 and also employee can start his shift any day in a week.

So any ideas or suggestions on solving this to find shif type accurately?

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!
