What are HR folks seeing as an average cost for payroll providers? I'm going through demos with Paycor and would like to know what a reasonable breakdown is for payroll, time & attendance, onboarding, etc. How do you measure? Cost per employee? Any help is appreciated!

Neither my husband nor I are good with change and when my husband and I went for the ultrasound he nervously asked "she's too sick to eat anything other than her vitamins and water, is it ok for her and the baby to go without?" My company is in need of a update online, could use your opinions! We need to better showcase our culture (caring, supportive, fun, intelligent IT industry leaders) as well as diversity. We are predominantly white still but making strides to improve here. What’s the best way to approach? I don’t want to seem disingenuous or that we are singling out our diverse employees (asking for photos). We have a remote and on-site workforce about 350+ EEs. Non white EEs make up about 35% of the company rn.

I’m not old BUT when I was younger I thought it was important to have all the alphabets after my name (I.e. Phr, SHRM and all the others). I learning that the younger crowd coming into the market thrives off these identifiers yet they know very little about the real world aspects of the job. I watch leadership roll their eyes at the email footers. I feel like keeping those attached to my name hurts my credibility so I removed them…. I’m I thinking wrong?

Cocreation is something I as a customer like very much. Especially when you can give input, discuss and it gets implemented or taken into account. I was wondering: how do you create a Cocreation community that gathers regularly? Do you have multiple groups? How do you manage them al if you’re a small company?

Any advice on getting your foot in the door in the Big 4 companies or the like, ie: PwC, Deloitte, etc. I feel like I have the perfect experience for some of these posted roles but the online application process is a black hole. So I’m in people ops (for lack of a better term) at a national nonprofit for 3 years now and I am *struggling* to pivot into more traditional HR roles and people ops positions outside of the nonprofit space. Has anyone here successfully made that pivot? What did you find most helpful?

I had my PHR back in early 2000, then made a career change to a paramedic (I know, right). I called SHRM and they said I'm eligible to test again even though I only currently have 1.5 yrs of HR.

I purchased the online study guide and it seems that HR has gone in a completely different direction - more operations related than employee relations etc.

Did anyone find this online training to be helpful? I test in July, so any tips would be greatly appreciated!

There’s no such thing as a perfect job.

I know there are definitely worse out there so it’s hard to put my foot down and resign, I could just stick it out for a year but am feeling demotivated and too exhausted to do anything else but sleep after hours/weekends. Have you ever started working somewhere and although nothing overtly wrong or terrible about the place / colleagues, it just didn’t feel like the right fit & if so, what did you do?
