Based on my experience, an annual requirement of 1,700 to 1,800 hours is average, which is about 7 hours a day if you don’t work on weekends and only take two weeks of vacation each year. If I bill 7 hours in a day, I’m usually in the office for 9ish hours. It can be a drag at times, but it beats working as a fry cook for starvation wages.
What would be the average salary for these hours?
I aim to bill 10 hr a day on average and don’t work weekends and definitely have a life. I’m at 115% right now
I bill 5 hours a day. In the office for 8 hours from 9-5 with a one hour lunch, chats with co-workers, phone and bathroom breaks. No weekends. Target is 1000, which is obviously the low end.
Lol trust me, you don’t want to work here.. $70k plus bonus as a second year in a small market. I’m putting in my time to get some experience because I have good mentors but I’m out of here once I’m mid-level and have leverage to ask for more 💰.

There are 50 5-day weeks in a year, with two weeks of PTO. Billing 40 hours a week gets you 2000 hours with no additional time off. Go up or down from there.

I was pretty generous considering two weeks of time off plus no weekend work...if you want to be more accurate, throw in most weekends and holidays.
The trick is when you only bill 40 (or whatever) a week, a fine pace but not over the top, and then one slow month hoses you for bonus eligibility. Keep that in mind.
