What are you interested in? Your exit opps are obviously best in accounting and frankly, from a technical perspective, I’m assuming that’s all the experience you have. Try to leverage the other skills you learned though, such as putting up with bullshit and leading teams. At the end of the day it’s 4 years - if you start over in something else, who cares. You don’t have enough time on earth to spend all of your time being miserable with your job
First figure out what you do like? Any clients/industries you would consider staying in the accounting field for? If so look online at the job requirement for those roles. Align those and start specializing your skill set to become an ideal candidate. Maybe take some online training for their specialty software? Pass some certification courses? Start purposefully networking to get your name in front of key people.
Have you considered trying to transfer into your firms recruiting department? You could always go for a PhD or back to get another masters degree?! Do some soul searching and decide what interests you and make a leap! If you haven’t listened to Steve Job’s Stanford commencement speech lately please do. It hits home on a number of issues you may be struggling with.
Major isn't honestly gonna matter at this pt.
