Move to cyber account, doing something specialized like Pen testing. Can easily break 200k. Friend is 27 making 185k. They should break 200k before 30.

Are you in tech? You can push on thought leadership in a technical field without going too far down the BD route to hit 200

Implementation and operation work in a functional role. Have exposure to some market offerings I could carve out an “eminence” brand with, I think.

$110 salary SC now. Mapping out some longer term goals I need additional income to enable passions on the side. Thanks in advance, any insight appreciated.

Why do you need 200k? Spend less...

Unless D has changed in the 5+ years since I was there, you can relatively easily crack $200, counting bonus, as a tenured SM though that would be years down the road if you're a SC now, OP.

Current B4 senior getting promo’d to manager. Have an offer to join a smaller firm (BDO, Grant Thornton, etc) as a Senior consultant for 1 year with expectation that I’d promo to manager next year. New salary would be higher even as a senior vs what I’d make as B4 manager. New B4 salary would be 105k. New salary trajectory is 110k this year to 120+ next year. What do I give up by leaving B4?

I've really focused in my area of law, it's profitable and decent jobs. I'm just getting ready to move to a new firm because I believe my current firms economics aren't really that great / stable (it's a 4 year start up that just had it's first profitable month). I just feel that because I'm so specialized that my job options are kinda limited.

Does anyone have a aPHR? Is it worth it? If you do have one, dos you pay for any of the prep classes and how long did it take you to study for it? Do you have any suggestions/recommendations for good certifications/ free to low cost classes for a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion worker?

It feels weird posting a LinkedIn post in FishBowl, but I found this post from Jamal very insightful. I would have just copied the text, but I want to give him credit.

Curious to hear from other HR people - would you support your company moving to a fully-remote situation? Or do you think it's critical people come to the office?

I’m a 6th year associate looking into pursuing an LLM in Tax through an online program (with my firm’s blessing). I will continue to work while I am taking these courses, but curious if anyone has any guidance about how many hours per week I should expect to be spending on classes and studying? The programs I’m looking at generally suggest taking 1-2 classes per semester.
