What are non-partner path ways to get my income over $200K while continuing to work in the Federal space?
Current B4 senior getting promo’d to manager. Have an offer to join a smaller firm (BDO, Grant Thornton, etc) as a Senior consultant for 1 year with expectation that I’d promo to manager next year. New salary would be higher even as a senior vs what I’d make as B4 manager. New B4 salary would be 105k. New salary trajectory is 110k this year to 120+ next year. What do I give up by leaving B4?
I've really focused in my area of law, it's profitable and decent jobs. I'm just getting ready to move to a new firm because I believe my current firms economics aren't really that great / stable (it's a 4 year start up that just had it's first profitable month). I just feel that because I'm so specialized that my job options are kinda limited.
Does anyone have a aPHR? Is it worth it? If you do have one, dos you pay for any of the prep classes and how long did it take you to study for it? Do you have any suggestions/recommendations for good certifications/ free to low cost classes for a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion worker?
It feels weird posting a LinkedIn post in FishBowl, but I found this post from Jamal very insightful. I would have just copied the text, but I want to give him credit.
Just realized Platinum status with Delta gives you President’s Circle at Hertz. I’ve been driving a Kia for the past two weeks 🤦🏻♂️
Feeling really burnt out, on H1B. Can't just take a break from work, also no utilization in this environment is detrimental. What can I do?

Curious to hear from other HR people - would you support your company moving to a fully-remote situation? Or do you think it's critical people come to the office?
I’m a 6th year associate looking into pursuing an LLM in Tax through an online program (with my firm’s blessing). I will continue to work while I am taking these courses, but curious if anyone has any guidance about how many hours per week I should expect to be spending on classes and studying? The programs I’m looking at generally suggest taking 1-2 classes per semester.
How do you deal with a group of colleagues who’s committed to misunderstanding you? There was old project where I was standing my ground (politely) a dissent, but my manager took offense.. (cont’d)
How is your company handling PTO/vacation specifically if it’s a “use it or lose it” policy? Are you still requiring employees to use it in 2020, or will there be leniency to move it to next year?
If you apply and are reached back to interview but you decline for a reason. Will you be able to apply again at a later date or will that count as a “try and reject”?
Anyone ever negotiate MBA internship offers (non-consulting)? Curious if big tech firms would be open to this.
Applied online for an ACD position at FCB Chicago, but there wasn’t a field for me to put the link to my site. I looked everywhere, did I miss something right in front of my eyes?

Would you rather be a partner at a consulting firm or a partner at an IB firm (comparable tiers in each relative industry) - taking comp and work / life balance into accord?
