What are potential exist ops for HC consulting that are not HR related?

Depends on what you're considering related to HR... there are plenty of opps that probably report to HR (or not depending on company) but aren't specific to working in HR. Organizational development, training/learning, change management, etc. those are great ways to transfer to industry with HC consulting experience. I've also had colleagues go into marketing and communications from HC consulting.

The earlier you exit, the easier to do that

Deloitte what’s that mean?

@BA1: D1 is saying that the less specialized you are in HR the easier it is to pivot (e.g. an HC Analyst can go into supply chain or finance op model related consulting, but an M is likely specialized and pigeon holed into a certain practice.

@OP: I went from HC consulting into Analytics

If you're technical you can go into IT it maybe payroll but I'm assuming you want a more 'glamorous' role

Highly considering moving to Chicago from NYC at the end of this year and looking at West Loop, Streeterville, River North, and anything in the Loop north of Madison.

Though I am getting very concerned about the “crime” I keep hearing about. I used to think that crime in Chicago was just in the ‘bad’ parts very south or west of wherever I planned on living but now that I’m paying attention to the news in Chicago more .. (continued in comments)

Switched to industry from audit about 2 months ago and it’s been worse than expected. Made sure to do my due diligence asking about flexibility, work life balance, etc. and everything has been worse than what I was told. Talked to one of my old recruiters and they said this job is already showing red flags this early and should consider getting out before I’m in too deep and can just leave this off my resume. Any experience/advice with this kind of situation?
