What are roles that pay similar to an SE? I love the pay but I noticed if I wanted to move out into a director role or general cybersecurity role the pay dips a bit. Looking for options for my next step any advice?

This is what I like to call the golden handcuff. As an SE it feels our options are to go to sales or take a paycut and go to product.

Honestly, I went into consulting which awarded me the opportunity to do both sales and product management while maintaining a higher salary.

I don’t think going to product is a paycut.

I think going to Product is the only non-engineering way to make more money

Any one at the Associate level willing to share their salary, location and years of experience? Are you entitled to overtime pay? I'm an Associate in NYC, 25 years exp, no overtime pay I work at least 15 hours extra every week. That doesn't make sense please share your information and DM if you prefer. Thank you.

Hey, I am appearing for a pre-sales engineer interview. It will be a sort of role-play demo session, where the team will want to understand how I present, how I manage a room, how I keep my audience engaged and also your technical abilities when asked regarding the solution. I have a liberty to choose any data science related product. I am essentially confused as to what product to choose, and how to structure the presentation. I would highly appreciate tips and suggestions. Thanks

Hey B2B pre-sales and post-sales engineers (SEs and CSEs). How do you collaborate on a customer who closes?
* Do you have one pool of SEs who do both pre- and post-sales?
* Do you have separate SEs and CSEs and a relatively hard handoff? (SEs aren't really seen again after CS onboarding?)
* Do you have some hybrid model where pre-sales SEs are still involved to some degree post-sales with CSEs?
