MSFT or AWS? As Tech Pre Sales and why?
Anyone have any total earnings insight to Elavon? They mentioned a base of 70k the first year while you ramp up and a base of 50k after that. But the person in charge of hiring has said they have struggled to hire at that 50k base. Thinking I could push for 60-70k base but I am unsure about how much commission can be expected in the first couple years. Any insight would be helpful

I’m looking at Salesforce certs currently, specifically CPQ specialist. But following for more recs!
Honestly all that most companies care about is a history of successfully closing deals. You could be a middle school drop out that never learned to read, if you can sell and sell consistently you will get hired.
The only certifications that would matter potentially are for technical sales roles but even then almost all companies would still take the illiterate middle school drop out that could sell water to a drowning swim team over the guy with 20 certifications and a chill personality
It sounds like first priority (which is obvious and goes without saying) is being first a good closer.
However, to differentiate between other closers certifications help do that. It gives you the expertise to have those conversations with clients IT team and turn them into your own champions.
