Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY

It’s not really lifestyle creep, but something that came about when I switched from industry to consulting:
Having a wardrobe that is basically all black in order to eliminate mix/matching problems 😕

Higher end everything. Value quality (both perceived and realized) over quantity.
Custom tailoring for suits/sport costs. Spending $300+ on dress shoes. An appreciation of premium electronics (Bose, Sonos, Sony OLED, Dyson, etc.). Paying for time. For example, instacart, uber eats, skip the line, VIP at a Vegas club, etc. Those things slowly start to add up.

Must be nice. I would have a freak out if I let our budget loose. I'm too much of a control freak
Becoming a Uber abuser. “It’s a little too warm outside today, I’m going to take a uber instead of public transit”
Honestly, having the time to be able to take public transit now feels like a luxury in a way that taking Uber to work because I didn't have enough time otherwise (and frequently working in the Uber) never did.
Snacks, snacks, snacks!
But really, it's a true creeping over time! You slowly and subtly move from snacking on peanuts to organic almonds and cashews, from Clif bars to RX bars, from basic store brand yogurt to Fage Greek yogurt, from basic trail mix to those sweet sweet trader Joe's trail mixes and dried mangos, from an occasional slim Jim to premium beef jerky, from basic popcorn to that boomchickapop stuff... And list goes on and on.
Keep an eye on that snack budget! This is real life people!
