As a second time mom and toddler mom, meal train, freezer meals, take out, meal gift cards, offers to watch the toddler, gift card for cleaning….basically no baby stuff but your time or food would be great.

like

A meal train is always very much appreciated!

Uber Eats/Doordash gift card.

like

Baby bottles and pacifiers typically new with each kid, crib mattress/sheets assuming older one is still using theirs, gift for older child. Also a car detailing or home cleaning service would be amazing.

like

Diaper cake with things that might’ve gotten lost or thrown out the first time, like pacifiers, spoons, and wash cloths

like

Diaper cake? 🎂

Anything customized with their name on it is nice- wooden bench, blanket, etc.

like

Personalized items if you know the name, things like Burp cloths that you tend to get rid of when first one grows out of them.

like

I saved a big bag of the “clean” burp cloths after my first. Expecting my second now and when I opened that bag I almost puked from the smell - definitely won’t be saving them after this baby!

funny

The Burt’s bees newborn box is nice for a second time mom. Or a good red wine.

like

Something little for baby and a fun toddler gift.

like

A carrier so they can nurse baby while walking around doing stuff (joys of having 2 kids lol!) - I loved the woven wrap, but always include a gift receipt! Amazon is easiest for returns.
My fave gift was an Amazon gift card AND Starbucks gift card. That I could spend on whatever I wanted 💳

like

Love this. Konny baby is great for newborn and very affordable.

like

Cash or a gift card.

Offer to babysit toddler. Meals. Gift cards for food or mom time treat (pedicure, etc).

With such increase I do not think it will be viable for long term. So planning to switch/port.

Is it normal to have let down just on one side? I am 1 week postpartum. On day 4, I had to rush to ER for some@severe pain and was stuck there for 5 hours. During this time I had let down just on my right breast. I assumed the lefy one didn’t have any because I had placed a medella soreness gel pad there. Today again j was sleeping and woke up to feed baby. RealIzed I had let down again only on right side despite more having any gel pad. Is this normal? Should i be worried?

I’m in a major city, firm is a boutique that has been around a very long time. What would you suggest? Any studies or research you’ve seen recently on trends in parental leave policies also helpful. I’d like to have some sort of data to back up what I recommend. TIA!

Anyone have three kids and working in big law? I just found out I’m pregnant with no. 3 and it’s been a lot trying to juggle morning sickness, but based on my experience, I know this is only the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come. My husband and I are elated, but the anxiety of being a mom of 3 kids and working in big law is preventing me from truly enjoying this news. It would be good to know what it’s really like having 3 kids so that I can evaluate how long I really have left in big law.

Need advice. Am in the middle of parental leave right now and my spouse and I are on the brink of divorce. Have only this 1 kid. Spouse doesn’t work yet, but can with earning potential around $50k. I make around $450k. No way I’d keep this job if divorce happens. I’d eventually transition in house so I can take care of my kid when I have him, but that won’t be immediate. How will custody work in that case? I want joint, but how do I take care of him alone with this job in the meantime?

Making an offer. The sellers said they had 30+ people walk through the open house today, and are asking for best and final. They’ll make a decision on Monday. The list price is 775k. We were originally thinking of offering 700 to start since comps are around 735k. However, this is nicer than the comps renovation-wise. What would you all suggest we offer? We’d rather lose the house than overpay, so this concerns us.
