What are some good books to read, materials or classes about how to be a more effective PM? And about communication management, recos are gladly accepted.

I have a brand new person on my team- she is totally new to the field, has recently returned to the workforce (solo mom of 3 teens), is very smart. I knew when I hired her that I’d have to lean in to get her to where she needed to be. She has a ton of potential but lacks experience in a professional setting. I need to help her level up her written communication skills. Any suggestions on books, resources, strategies? She is learning by doing and takes feedback but I want more supports for her.

I joined Accenture on 20 September and resigned on 18 Oct due to better opportunity with one of product.

1) I have received joining bonus however still it is not credited to the account. Will I receive this in Oct month salary
2) will they recover this or it depends on case to case basis.
3) will I get all my relieving and experience letter as I resigned properly.

Had a "haha" moment. I had been dealing with a client for months and they were somewhat satisfied, if a little bit exigent with their demands. My boss told me I was screwing things up, decided to take the partnership upon themselves, and a week after, this client cut ties with us.

I took a JR Pm role due to lack of agency experience but I find that the other PMs aren’t doing anything that I’m not & due to lack of leadership, resourcing & foresight I have had to step up and own rooms with no mentorship/guidance. I feel like I was duped and brought in on a jr role w/regular PM asks &no aupport. I was approached by another agency for an associate Pm position. Reaching out for any advice on questions to ask to truly assess resourcing, support and autonomy at a new place. Thx!

Every PM job posting I see in big tech/FAANG requires a MINIMUM of 5+ years experience, and a large portion even require 7+ years. Most of the associate/rotational PM roles require 3+ years and some require 5+. Yet it seems like every 24 year old I know that went to a target school is now a PM in big tech… am I the only one confused?
