Homework... it’s my worst nightmare in the classroom. I have to give it but have flexibility in creating my own policy. Please share what you give, how you collect, and/or grade!! THANKS!
I’m back in the classroom. Any f2f activities for ESL students that follow social distancing guidelines? I teach Elementary, Middle and High-school kids. Thanks!!

What are the best classroom management ideas?
A student in my class just had their parents pass away. I want to buy some stuff to take to the grandparents house for the student and their siblings. Does anyone have any advice on how to help this child when they come back to the classroom. I plan on giving this child all the love and support I possibly can.
First year PPCD teacher looking for some helpful tips/advice on classroom centers. Gross/fine motor skills ideas, games, etc? What can I use?
How does your required training compared to that of academic teachers for certification to be in the classroom? Do you feel it is adequate and/or appropriate?
Should you have to ask to be included in your boyfriends life? Like saying you want to see the classroom and his campus and always having to ask instead of him offering to show you around and stuff
What is the data & analytics training like at your company?
At the moment, all of the training we have is eLearning and I’m not convinced this is a strong employee value proposition.
Does anyone still run classroom training for technical skills (e.g. SQL, Python)?
Do you receive training to help managers become better data analytics leads (e.g. analytics QA, analytics project management, scoping, pricing, methodology design?)
For those of you who are early risers, what are some of your tricks for getting out of bed early? I hate feeling rushed in the morning because I feel like it transfers over to my classroom.
The desks in our classrooms are currently being arranged by administrators to provide six foot spacing for students. A teacher asked if a safe area with the same spacing will be provided for the teacher to teach from and the response was a simple "no". Very concerning.
Anyone use Google Classroom on tablets? And for 2nd grade math? Looking for ideas on how to save copies but I only have tablets
I teach 4th grade at a Christian school. I have been teaching for over 30 years but I have been at this school for 2 years. Since I have been working at this school it seems like everything I do in my classroom it's something wrong with it according to my supervisor. Recently, I was told that I am not getting a new contract for the new school year. I have to find a new school. I was told that I am not a good fit for the school.
For the Wharton recommender question of “why will this candidate have success in the Wharton classroom?” is there anything specific my recommender should mention regarding the Wharton class experience? I’ve done some research and note Wharton is big on experiential learning, flexible curriculum etc but is there anything that makes the classroom experience distinct?
I have a question, but to put it in context takes more characters than this allows--I'll explain more in a reply.
Briefly, I struggled through seven miserable years of teaching until I finally got asked back by a school in 2019. My classroom management was disastrous; I knew it, but couldn't seem to fix it.
Then I took a seminar, and got better. It really was that simple, though of course I'm still learning.
So, can classroom management be taught? I believe so, but no one else seems to agree.
A few teachers (myself included) want to start using Google Classroom at our school but our admin is dragging their feet in setting up the G Suite for Education. Suggestions?
My school wants to set up cameras in my classroom and they say it's for safety. But I'm skeptical.
Any advice or suggestions relating to mentorship? I’m a few years into media activation (mostly agency side) and feel like I’d benefit from professional advice that isn’t from a direct manager. I’m feeling a bit stuck for long term progression and kind of like I’m on a treadmill. Any suggestions, experience would be appreciated!
Planning a surprise trip to Cancun for first anniversary. Any hotel suggestions? Right now looking at JW Marriott. Looking for something nice but cost effective (this is also first week of Jan).
For those of you that are citizen / PR. Do you get tons of Singapore recruiters chasing you for roles which are way out of your focus area, getting interviews done only to be ghosted after? I had a few of these and decided to not entertain anymore. My general feeling is they use me to 1- get a salary benchmark, and 2- check the box to interview an “unqualified” local only to use it as justification to get an EP for a foreigner they were targeting to bring here in the first place.
Hi ladies, I’m looking for a new opportunity in Marketing. I have years of experience and a great skill set. I’m done with working on a team dealing with racial undertones and micro aggressions. I’d love to work with a team of creative and collaborative individuals. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Would love to chat and send my resume and portfolio.
