Hey NYC. Unemployment benefits question: if I quit a full-time job, then go work a short-term freelance job (2-3 months) will I be eligible for unemployment benefits after the freelance gig is over?

Haven’t been in law school for a while and property law went in one ear and out the other. Can anyone advise if a tenant in common can do work to a property (i.e. build a structure) it shares with other TICs without consent from each other owner? Note there would be no expectation of reimbursement for costs and understand the other tenants in common would have access to use this structure. This is a residential area not commercial.
