If I roll over an old employer 401k to a Vanguard IRA, can I then roll that over to a brokerage account in order to have access to margin? I’m aware of the risks of margin, just a hypothetical question. TIA!

Is it common for the benefits team to administer accommodation? I was always under the assumption that HRBP’s, who supported those business units administered it and provided the benefits/leave team with the tracking information to put it the HRIS system.

I just learned that the supplemental long term disability policy offered by my firm does not cover any disability caused or significantly contributed to by pregnancy or childbirth. This feels really discriminatory and unfair to me that the firm would only offer this policy. Women are expected to bear the burden and risk of pregnancy (often more than once) and if there is a complication they don’t get benefits?! Does your firm have this policy exclusion?

Considering a move to NTT Data in a healthcare consulting role. Mixed reviews in the bowls. Major concerns are bench policy, staff aug roles, 2 week PTO, and high turnover due to job dissatisfaction. Have seen comp for NACR (restructuring) listed at around 150-200 for analysts, 200-275 for associates, and one mention of senior associates at 375k. Supposedly NACR gets crushed in terms of hours. But i've also read that targets are around 2000 hours per year? Something doesn't add up.....e.g. Associate $550/hr * 25% cap rate * 2000 billable hrs = $275k.......but 2000 hours is slightly over 40 hours a week (including 4 weeks vacay), not the 80 hr/week. So is there a ton of time on vacation?

Any tips for asking for a mid year riase when a raise was already given in December/January? (7% for hitting above quota numbers) I started to realize the new external hires on my team make 10-15k higher than me for the same role. I am a top 3 performer but promotions and raises are usally only given based on hitting a certain number and at the EOY and often times that number is very hard to hit given the out of my control situations like acquisitions.
