Read that PhDs are a great entry point to MBB, and was wondering if anyone has insights on which institutions/ programs outside M7 that offer highest probability of entry?
Has anybody left T2 for MBB and wished you stayed at your T2 firm? If so, what do you miss about it?
I'm wondering if anyone moved between MBB firms? Is it at all possible? What was the rationale and impressions?
Any of super awesome MBB fishes willing to do referral for me? Location is New York; looking for a technology role in Transactions/M&A; planning to make switch soon. Welcome any screening / chat you might prefer before referring :-) Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company McKinsey & Company

Coming from Big 4 with 2 YOE. Have 2 offers FAANG (finance / strategy role) vs. MBB entry level. What’s the best option?

Got referrals for MBB, but it’s been almost a month since and I haven’t heard back. The referrals were from folks that didn’t know me well, so I assume that they weren’t too fervent in pursuing it? Does it look like I should receive it as a no already? What’s a “normal” timeline in such cases?
Any MBB fish that have exited to Boutique firms? Does the MBB experience carry enough weight to bridge the gap boutique firms face winning new business?
FAANG Exit to MBB? 3.5 YOE, Non-technical, 150k TC Been at Alphabet my entire career post-undergrad. Undergrad was a pretty general liberal arts degree and haven’t pursued grad school yet. What would it look like (from a TC + long term career standpoint) to switch over to consulting for a year or two then go back to my non-tech tech lifestyle?
Recently got an MBB offer. Really excited about it but start date isn’t until mid-March. How long should I wait to give notice to my current employer? It’s a large, well-known tech company but our team is pretty small and my departure will definitely cause a bit of chaos in the short term. Don’t want to burn any bridges, but at the end of the day I also know they’ll be fine. Thoughts on giving standard 2-weeks vs a bit longer, say 4?

Some days I can only think about how shitty a writer I am. All the other days I still think I’m a shitty writer, but I also console myself with a bagel
While i’m grateful the job market is still so hot, but i’m so tired of chasing and interviewing for the past five months without finding the right thing. Considering taking the first opportunity and thats it.
For new/newer moms- did working from home make a difference when you were pregnant? Does it make a difference for you now (presuming you have some form of childcare while you work)? EDIT: We just found out we’re pregnant and I’m trying to see if negotiating permanent WFH with a couple of prospective employers is worth it. Not even hybrid appeals to me, tbh
Now that Omicron has blown up case numbers again, how are the digital nomads doing right now? Feeling stranded?
I'm starting an independent consultancy in which I advise on racial, socioeconomic, and diversity initiatives. My monetization model: the advice is compulsory and the rates are totally unreasonable.
My 7th referral just accepted an offer at the firm thanks to my career coaching and resume review. Really just trying to gain more diversity but truly I just want to see more people that look like me on Google meets. HMU for a referral.
I have been in IT audit for two years, and I am now thinking about switching to FDD. Is that possible? Any advice?
Anyone know the TC for internal tech product manager in Mega funds(Apollo, Blackstone, kkr) 7YOE
Does anyone have experience disclosing disabilities at work, specifically issues of neurodiversity? Curious how it went, especially if you were successful in securing accommodations (please detail which and how if so). TIA
EY 🐟 Did you get an expert opinion for your RFE? How long did it take? Outcome of those with opinion and without?
Best career advice you’ve received?
NYC for Memorial Day weekend! Where should I go?
Best easy to use prototyping software that could be used by any (non technical) consultant for client presentations?
Would you move over to RGA NY if you could? Why or why not? Or, just generally what do you think of RGA NY?
Controversial topic. I love women at work, I’m even bi, so I love them outside of work too, but why is it so much easier to work with men when it come to emotional stuff? So many women around me are suffering from people-pleasing syndrome, or people-pleasing ptsd, and bring so much drama at the work place.
