What are some great websites or free services for resume/ LinkedIn profile improvement to increase your chances of getting an interview?

I'm currently in the final rounds of interviewing. If I get a formal offer how have you gone about negotiating vacation? I've given them my desired salary already so that's not an issue but I'm used to having 5 weeks of vacation time and I want to make sure I at least am give something somewhat comparable to that.

Am I being too sensitive? Interviewed for a Corporate Strategy Manager position at a F50 today and one of the ladies was a White Woman. We get through the interviews and I ask her about the culture. She then proceeded to tell me how it’s really good and even have programs to provide consulting services to NPO that serves impoverished minorities communities and my views and life experiences would definitely bring a good perspective. It honestly made me a little uncomfortable about their culture.

Silly question:

I got selected at a Company X for position Y.

15 days later another recruiter from the same company reaches out for another position Z.

Can I apply and give interview again?

Z position pays more than Y.

I have had a production company in NY (basically freelance) and produced and directed for 10 years now. Recently decided I want some stability and benefits, etc. so looking to switch to a full time position somewhere I can dig in.

I have been applying to hundreds of producer/video positions and haven't gotten so much as an interview or follow up email from any of them.

I’m interviewing at Slack and the recruiter is fantastic. She told me to take some time to think about my comp ask but that I should use my current salary at Meta as a guide but to go higher as staying at the same rate won’t do anything for the gender pay gap. I’m thinking of saying that I would like 15% higher but would also love to get an idea of what the salary range for a L6 or L7 marketer at Slack would be just to see if my expectations are in line.

Laid off in July 2020 and have a standing offer to join a company I'm not crazy about. Is it better to take the role, continue search on side, but be faced with external companies asking why I'm looking to leave so soon? Or, decline and keep searching?

Presently working in EY as AM. Total YOE 6.2yrs. Got selected in Deloitte at Manager level. Please suggest the Compensation (range) that I may demand:
Present Package - 19.5L (fixed)
Variable - 10-15% (Would be pro rated to 8months)
Joining bonus - 1L
Not sure about variable payout but will have to let go off the joining bonus and hike for sure.

Dear Peanut paying companies (TCS especially), don’t you have some basic manner in valuing the precious time of Candidates? When you’re scheduling interviews, you asked about the current salary and expectation. Even though knowing the peanut you’re going to offer is way below Candidate’s current salary, why are you still processing for further interviews? Don’t you ashamed of yourself calling as a Recruiter? These are basic manners/commonsense, which you guys are unaware of!!!

Currently make 190k base + ~$35k/year stock options as a Product Analytics / BI Manager at a Pre-IPO comp. Just received a PM offer from an early stage (Series A) comp. After negotiations, they offered $175k-185k base and 0.11%-0.07% equity.

I chose $175k / 0.11% because $10k difference in the cash offer felt not worth the potential upside of more equity. It’s a risk but time will tell. Bad idea / paycut (15k)?

Had my fifth interview with a company today. Next step is an assignment. Politely asked the hiring manager this morning, “has there been any feedback from the other team members about me yet? Assignments are a time commitment and I want to make sure this will be worth everyone’s effort.” Zero feedback, just “nothing I can share with you yet.”

Ummmm…if you’re requesting 5+ interviews and an (unpaid) assignment, you should be ready for this question.

Why do recruiters ask for your availability to interview...and then pick times outside of windows provided? I would rather you tell me what window is open and I choose from my options. It seems alot less frustrating
