I recently had an interview with a very promising pre-IPO company in the AI/ML space for a SE leadership position. The interview feedback was better than I expected, but with a twist. They have already given the offer to someone else, but they still want to bring me on board and they asked me what I would like to do. What are some recommended tactics for approaching the conversation? Is it recommended to aim for salary or commission (or both). Hey everyone! I recently graduated this past December and started my current role January 24th. Just this morning I had a recruiter from Meta reach back out to me about a role I applied too last month. Should i schedule an interview with the recruiter? What if it goes well? Would it look bad if I quit my current position to take this role if I end up getting an offer? One reason I would want to switch is because the pay would most likely be a lot higher at Meta then in my current position.
