Why do you need life insurance if you’re single?
Can you expand on this? Your loans on policy account value need to be paid back or reduced from death ben. But the biggest problem is that the cost of insurance charges plus fees is not always attractive.

Home and stock and some btc. How much are you saving ?
Ah bitcoin. I have not jumped into that quite yet. Any advice on where/how to start? Saving about $4800 a month right now. Was getting ready to buy an investment property but also want to be intentional about my retirement goal and realize rental property is only one piece of the equation.
Do you anticipate staying single until you’re 45?
Yeah that’s the reason I was asking. You’ll have to save considerably more to have a chance at FIRE that early while supporting a family. If it’s just you and a SO (DINK), it’ll be considerably easier.
To answer your original question, some investment properties would help reduce your exposure to the stock market. Retiring at 45 means you’ll have to make it through several decades without a full-time job, so you should expect some bear markets and depressions/recessions over that time period.
