Getting really sick of health care providers and my own health insurance company trying to constantly screw me on medical bills. I've caught errors on the last 5 bills I've received. Starting to think this is happening on purpose...
Hi 🐠! What are some tangible methods you have successfully used to avoid lifestyle creep? I currently max my 401k and IRA each year, and was thinking of putting 50% of raises/bonuses towards investments so I never see it hit my bank account, but curious what you all have done. Trying to find a balance of prep for fin freedom while enjoying life. Thanks!
Would appreciate thoughts on when to pay of student loans. Have about 40k left @ 4.5% (refinanced twice). I should be able to pay them off in one lump sum in a few months with personal savings. I’m currently paying the minimum, while saving aggressively in HYSA account , contributing to 401k to employer match, and contributing to Roth IRA. Does it make sense to just knock them out or should I increase investments focus? I know there’s likely not a “right” answer but what would you do?
If I'm leaving to another big 4, is there a chance EY will counter offer with something higher than the offer I received? Or will they normally just match the offer and its take it or leave it?
What schools can I target with 3.94 GPA and 690 GMAT? Will have 4.5 years of B4 consulting experience at the time of application. Curious what schools since I higher GPA but lower GMAT.
Just received an offer from Big 4 audit in a major city. But I don’t have driver’s license…
At a B4 member firm in internal audit. i like IAs for clients but my director wanted me to join the internal firms IA while working with clients. over the last few months I've been networking with people in advisory and I managed to build a good relationship with a m&a director. he was keen on getting me on board, he offered to get me on board but my contract with IA expires EOY. really want to jump to m&a and I'm scared doing Internal IAs will ruin my reputation w him. how do I say no to this?
I got an offer today from a firm that’s fairly new and has about 13 attorneys. Only two of the attorneys are women, and they’re both quite a bit older. I don’t think the firm has a maternity leave policy. How do I find out? I’m a 26-year-old and want to start a family soon? But I don’t want them to know that quite yet.… Advice?
Is Hill holiday NY all healthcare clients?
How are your O&G practices (consulting/advisory) performing? Big 4 here- seems like we’re full of hot air and not doing much in terms of real sales...
🐠- I have received a check for lump sum pension payment. Am looking to deposit it into my Fidelity IRA account. The app prompts me to select deposit type as contribution or rollover (direct or 60 day). What should I be selecting? Also, is there any difference between depositing into a traditional IRA vs rollover IRA? Appreciate any guidance
Told an intern at my firm in a different group that reached out to try and join my team that he should be prepared to work 60-70 hours. He smugly laughed and said everyone he knows at our firm works that many hours (we are a B4 and it’s certainly not the case). Then he proceeded to tell me he leads a 10 person workstream. Then he asked me to refer him to managers to get him transitioned into our group. Posting so others can also get a kick out of this.
My agency just unveiled pension provision at the legal minimum as if it's a massive perk. Still lags everywhere else I've heard of. Jokers
I am a brand, digital strategy director available for a consulting gig. UX qual researcher and service design experience. Experience in CPG, healthcare and technology. Any suggestions or leads?
Alternative investments - I’m maxing out qualified accounts (401k, IRA) but don’t earn enough to buy real estate or go into private lending. What should I do with my extra income?
Is it just me or does it seem like in the US market mid-sized firms have taken the biggest hit from the virus. Big 4 and maybe top 10 seem to be able to navigate with out paycuts or major layoffs abd
New Account Director here. Had 2+ years of supervisor experience prior. Any tips as I transition to this new role? What key things make the positions different? Would love to hear from all disciplines

Anyone knows if the United checked bags are free for United Explorer MileagePlus credit card holders?
Hey all, Been out of work for about a year now, been interviewing and actively since being laid off due to companys budget cut. Was in final / decision rounds before covid and everything has been tbd or rescinded since. Responses have been few and far in between and now the year gap is becoming a concern. Would like to ask if anyone has tips or can point me in the right direction. I come from a management consulting/prod mgt background in tech. Disregard the risk consultant title.
End of Year Sign Out Poll: I’m curious how many teachers are required to: give up their keys at the end of the year even when they’re returning, clean out their classroom even when they’re returning, do intensive cleaning/janitorial duties before signing out, or other ridiculous procedures? (My answer in comments)
I feel I am underpaid... how much a VP / Senior VP in Operations should be making? Base and bonus please. My TOTAL comp is less than 220k.

So, the scary finally happened this weekend. Our 9-year old walked in to our bedroom at night while we were, how do I put it, at it. Had a bad dream. I go and help go back to sleep. Thankfully child had no recollection of waking up at night the next morning!
Are there Gayborhoods in Pittsburgh (or the surrounding area)? Looking to relocate our family there (2 gay parents, 1 kid and 1 on the way).

Hey 🐟, looking for hotel suggestions to take my girlfriend in LA area over Labor Day at SPG or Marriott. Would love to be near a beach but open to any awesome recommendations that you have. Thx!
Best Marriott property for vacation in Paris?
Career advice! Tech strategy at consultant level at Deloitte or tech strategy at a consultant at Accenture? The comp is pretty similar but I wouldn’t see a bonus or promotion cycle at Deloitte until 2022 and would see one at Accenture later this year
How much room for negotiation is there on role level when moving to MBB as a lateral? Currently M2 at a boutique founded by ex-MBB partners. We often compete with MBB. Recruiters at each firm have steered me towards joining at Associate (M) /Consultant (BB) level which I believe is common practice for lateral moves. This would likely result in a small pay cut for me, even at A3/C3. All have suggested a 6-12 month window to Manager promotion is possible. Would appreciate some advice, thanks!
