Finished interviewing for an ATS role at Microsoft Wednesday. The interviewers said they were recommending me but I haven’t gotten any feedback from the recruiter. I’m at PwC S& and in consulting I always got at least a verbal yes day of or next day after interviewing. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? Do you get a verbal first or do they wait to have a contract?

If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Deal with manager
Working with underperforming staff. I would love to only work with the good staff, but my team is determined to turn the bad one into something we can work with.
Here's hoping....🤞

Translating French contracts in English ughhhhh
Isn't that how it works? Be thankful the people we work with don't give up on us. You could be that underperforming person to one person while being superstar to another. Sucks you've given up on the staff, consider providing more assistance also. Everyone could benefit
Yes, everyone gives up on staff within a one to three month period and some staff just need a longer six month to a year period to understand concepts. Some people's minds are like steel, difficult to get anything etched in but also difficult to remove it once it's there. Once they get it, they get it forever, so we should not give up so easily.
Deal with staff
Doing early adoption 606 implementation for a soon to be public company. I'm back in the FY14 database doing samples. Don't care what anyone else says I win. Not to mention I've only been working 8 months
Deal with clients
Having to test segments that were tested incorrectly for the past five years while maintaining the budget and explaining why it was wrong to superiors. Then going to the client and proposing an entry and they say they are doing it the same as prior years.
Do you find that at the big 4, there's a lot of people who give up on their staff too quickly ?
@PwC5, when you started with PwC, what area did you start in and what were some of the tasks that you had more difficultly wrapping your head around? Same question to everyone also.
For what it's worth, the staff has been here for 9 months.
I haven't given up, that's why it's so hard working with them. It's frustrating as hell explaining the same thing on a weekly/monthly basis when they are being outperformed by a staff with 2 months of experience. It would be so much easier to rely on other staff.
Trying to learn the client engagement properly when the team may not want you to for selfish reasons.
