We’re planning to be in Kauai for a week in mid-December, but I’m thinking of extending the trip an extra 10 days. Would we have enough to do with a 4yo in tow? Or maybe not worth it to stay that long? Staying at the Grand Hyatt first week, then downgrade to Sheraton Coconut Beach.

Just used a meaningful amount of AMEX points for the first time to buy flights to Greece for my wife and I. Emirates business class both ways for 2 people, 290k pts total or 145k each way for 2 tickets. Plus another 30k to get us round trip domestic connecting flights bringing the total to 320 points. This is on the 777 which isn’t the best business class product out there, but I’ve never flown international outside of coach and think it will still be worthwhile. Think this is an OK redemption?

I have 4 hours in Rome (by design) in the first week of August (about 930-130). Havent been to Rome since 2008 but did get to see the major sites back then. How would you spend those 4 hours (before a ~4 hour train trip to La Spezia and after a short flight from the South). Recommendations on best int’l travel credit card? Back story: I’ve had a Chase Freedom credit card for years. I want to upgrade and have been thinking about Sapphire, but I have a ton of international travel planned for next year and want to make sure that one is worth it.
