BP is going to be more tactical, no matter how strategic they tell you the role is
Lots of putting out fires and babysitting
Thank you. I’m trying to determine which role is best aligned in becoming a Chief People Officer or Chief Diversity Officer.
Chief diversity, go work at someone who is considered a best of the best aka FAANG or Deloitte (and i dont work for Deloitte!)
BP is harder to get to CPO or CHRO since it’s so much people bullshit which can get in the way of career growth. I would go with VP org Effectiveness or a VP of talent
In terms of work life balance? Or in terms of workload?
Both
You really get to know and work with a specific group of people as a BP. It’s nice and personal in a way consulting isn’t always.
Agree with PwC1. It sounds like you are asking about working internally vs. externally?
