Hi --- for those who made the transition from an agency, what do you love about being brand side?
Anyone here from Investment Banking at Houlihan Lokey, Evercore or Lazard in London (UK)? I’m currently working in Corporate Finance M&A in GT UK. I’d want to move to one of these banks next year so would like to know about work culture, teams, opportunities, salaries and bonuses. Appreciate your kind help on this

Thinking about joining a series B startup as a Senior PM. In addition to me, there’s a head of product, and 2 other more junior PMs. How much stock ownership is to be expected in this offer? Ie what is normal amount of basis points?
Feeling a bit frustrated as I am making a lot of mistakes. I am a first year at a V10 corporate group, and I keep making mistakes when under time pressure or multitasking on 3-4 deals. I have sent wrong documents, made typos on emails and understood the assignment wrong every now and then. I am worries I come off as incompetent even as a first year.
Managers and partners, when did you know this was the path you wanted? I found out recently I made manager this year and most of me is excited, but a small part is worried I’m pigeonholing myself. I like tax and the grind, but busy season gets old and I’m often annoyed by my low pay. I’m very outgoing, love working with clients and live for public accounting tax summers, so I stay. Any insight?
It just happens that this week I spent a fair amount of time negotiating with clients/potential clients on legal fees - and it is exhausting. I am less than 2 years in private practice...
I have offer letter from salesforce CTC 17.84 lpa, but I don't want to join as a support engineer, are there any companies which can match this offer ?

I’m having a sit down with my creative directors next week, they have some concerns. I’ve been doing well with my radio and tv assignments but not as well with my collateral and email assignments. I’m having trouble adopting the already established voice of the latter but the tv and radio work I get to create my own voice for each project. Any advice on how to plead my case of having some degree of difficulty and not intentional doing bad work?
What do you do when your ACD and CD are at odds? My ACD and I work really closely. When CD weighs in, I trend toward their point of view, but my ACD brushes it off. Respect them both. Help me Rhonda!
Anyone been promoted *too quickly* (before you could build a robust book) and struggled to make a move?
I don’t hate the side show award. But did we really need an award show to validate our side hustles? Idk feels a little iffy - also what if I’m terrible at baking and bake the ugliest ever cakes but that’s my side hustle that helps keep my sanity. Will the CDs judging this award show recognize my shitty cakes?
Working in the book publishing industry and have a heavy agency media background. I've worked with some amazing creatives from my time at various global networks and would love thoughts on continued.
I’ve always wanted to work in entertainment advertising but I’m finding it difficult to get into a shop like that without entertainment experience. And I’m too old to drop down to a junior. Thoughts?
I am beyond stuck in my first 1.5 years of my career.
I was over promised opportunities at my first gig and then Covid hit. Leading me to have no portfolio worthy pieces from this 💩 agency with nothing great in sight. (place hasn’t won a pitch in my entire time here + lost clients)
I’m juggling re-vamping my site and a side project to hopefully make my book more robust.
With no kind of leadership or mentor, I’m just figuring out how to dig myself out of this hole. Any advice for this chump?

"One or more roles" is usually a red flag.
If they've also offered the same job to your friends/colleagues.
If they've also offered the same job to friends/colleagues that are at higher/lower levels than you.
Smacks of email spam, and that they're not closely looking at you as a candidate, just trying to drum up interest. It CAN still work out - this is usually the first step in the process and if you're diligent you can ensure you're getting a good job for yourself - but remember recruiters are serving their clients first, themselves second and you third. Placing you in a bad or good role pays them the same, so look out for yourself and your needs, don't expect them to.
When you’re a copywriter and the role is for an Art Director. But generally speaking, if they’ve never actually taken the time to click on your LinkedIn profile chances are they’ve never looked at your book which means they’re just looking for warm bodies.
“Love the work you did at [insert agency]” ...no work from said agency featured in my book
