Dividends, gross. I’d rather not have the tax drag.

DIVO has a 5.8% yield and pays out monthly. Always good to diversify. Once you have a safety net, also consider more risky investing (options, tactical asset allocation) keep in mind options are not permitted in retirement accounts.

Dividends are taxed as income so I try to avoid high yield stocks (I’m in high tax bracket in a high income tax state) That said check out REITs - generally a high yield asset class, and prices tend to have low correlation to us equities. Vanguards RE ETF is high yield with good diversification: VNQ

If you are in a high tax bracket consider municipal bonds

Looking for advice.. I’ve been on a management training programme on the lowest salary possible for just over a year and will soon be finishing the programme for a promotion. Hello Fishes,

I had given interview
Mindtree and cleared both technical rounds. On Tuesday 29 March 2022, I got a call from HR for the final discussion. After that I have not received any response.

I have been calling the HR and her manager, both are not responding to mail or calls.

Is there a way to get some information if my candidature is still in progress or is this delay natural? I have another offer from another company, but am more interested in joining Mindtree.

Fed up of WITCH and it's cheapness. Serving my Notice period and they are behind me nagging me to give company survey which I don't want to. They supplied a chair recently and as I am leaving charging 13+k for it . While the same chair is available for less than half of the amount they are asking us to pay. Will never ever want to be back in this organization again!!!

I’ve seen a couple posts lately with comments saying that people should not use a Roth 401k. Does the logic below capture the spirit of that concept?
1. Use trad. 401k to reduce taxable income now. Convert to trad. IRA once retired, then convert gradually to Roth IRA (ladder, SEPP, etc.) at lowest marginal tax rate
2. Use Roth IRA (and/or backdoor Roth) to take advantage of tax free growth and ability to withdraw principal early without penalty
