What are some things NOT to do when speaking to agency recruiters about a role? I never seem to get past those initial meetings, and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

I'm drowning in one-off business logic or planning requests ever since the last shuffle of devs. I'm the most senior, and def know the most, but on a team where our devs wear many hats, it means that I don't get to code nearly as much as I want to.

I also feel like these one-off requests do nothing for my career, as they're not seen as valuable to anyone other than the requesters.

Has anyone been in this position? What do I do to combat this?

I got passed on an industry position that I was really excited about. Had multiple interviews with the company and was 1 of 2 people left and they went with the other person. Had a great WLB and over a 40% pay increase. Feeling very discouraged and kinda like I just got dumped. Find it difficult to believe that there will be many other opportunities like this. Any advice to stay encouraged?

I recently interviewed for AC position in Lilly India and got an offer of 21L CTC (fixed~18). I had 2 questions which I need help with:
1. Is it at par with what the ACs at Lilly get/what the other candidates have been offered?

I’m thinking of turning down a job offer without anything (or anything full-time) lined up. Tell me if I’m being stupid, given the current economy, or if it’s better to hold out.
Context: I was reduced from full-time to part-time freelance at my old (current?) job. The place where I have an offer is very young, doesn’t have a creative director (I would be answering to marketing), and the offer is well below what I believe is average for midlevel in the city they’re in.
